THE MISSION OF OKLAHOMA LITERACY ASSOCIATION

The Oklahoma Reading Association is a statewide organization affiliated with the International Literacy Association and was formerly known as the
Oklahoma Reading Association.

We are dedicated to increasing literacy and instilling a love of reading in our state and around the world.

We believe that literacy enhances personal development for a sound economy
and a better future for all Oklahomans.

We strive to address the needs and interests
of Oklahoma educators and work to
promote and assist parents with literacy in the home.
.

Through OKLA  scholarships and awards, we
recognize educators and individuals who make
literacy contributions to
their community, reward
those who are continuing their education and
provide professional development opportunities
that address timely topics
